Pearl divers

Our pearl farm, Tikahera, is located in the Tuamotu archipelago, on the atoll of Ahe. The islet (called a motu in Tahitian) of Tikahera is a diver’s dream with its rose coloured sand beaches and its two hoas (shallow passes that connect the lagoon to the sea) on each side, that let in the nutrient-charged water from the ocean with the rhythm of the tides.

In front of the motu, the pearl oysters fix themselves, grow and produce the exceptionally rich coloured natural Tahitian black pearls of Tikahera.

The pearl farm Tikahera-Tahitian Blackpearls began production in 2001, during the recession of pearl market period…Its family oriented way of functioning has allowed the farm to resist financial strains in a harshly competitive environment. The hard work to maintain the quality of production has now flourished and gained recognition.
